As a clinical nutritionist, Dr. Kristin's approach is that of making health a lifestyle, rather than a fad diet. It's a mindset of self-worth combined with an understanding of how food works in the body, as well as a knowing of what is IN today's food. She uses a combination of tools to try to get the best results. Her evaluation includes an assessment of your blood chemistry results from a functional capacity based on current research of healthy individuals and old time docs. She obtains a comprehensive medical history and thorough exam in addition to any other testing.
Dr. Kristin can then make an effective recommendation fir dietary lifestyle changes, test for food intolerances, and suggest proper exercises for your level of fitness. She may recommend whole food supplements (literally organic real food in pills or capsules) or medicinal grade herbs when necessary to facilitate the body's rehabilitation with the end goal of enabling the body to function again as it was intended with as little assistance from outside sources as possible.
Supermarket walk-thru classes are offered periodically to teach how to read labels, know what to buy organic and what is a marketing scam, and how to keep on budget while eating healthy. Fitness expeditions at various levels are also offered periodically as a fun group momentum, way to get fit
